Merseyside Road Safety Partnership was created in 2007 to combat the rising number of deaths and serious injuries in Merseyside.

Safer Roads

Merseyside Road Safety Partnership is a collaboration of Merseyside Police, Local Authorities, Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service, and Merseytravel. The partnership is also supported by Highways England, North West Ambulance Service, and the Police and Crime Commissioner’s office. Our aim is to ensure the safety of all road users while travelling in and around Merseyside. We do this through providing guidance, education, adopting technology that saves lives and also by working with the people of Merseyside.

Since being established, we have seen positive results and a drop in fatalities and serious injuries on the roads. We believe the key to our success lies in engaging with, involving and empowering all road users so they can make the right decisions.

When people learn to share the road, they share the responsibility and ultimately save lives.
